One of our favorite pastimes is conversing with Mother Time; we beg for more, ask her to speed up, attempt to negotiate a way to go back.  We all have tried to manipulate that one resource of which there is  a precious finite amount.  We can't touch it; we can't feel it - but it motivates our every thought and action.  The closer we come to running out, the clearer it is how wasteful we have been. Is there a way to warn the ones who come behind us?  Doubtful.
